MEL! This cat scooped up all of Seth's equipment! The XXX he has is the one we took to Twin Falls! :veryhapp: I personally blessed that sub, so it is guaranteed to be loud. :fyi: Be careful how you wire it, I'd definitely test it with a multimeter, hooked up to the amp, on a tone, just to make sure everything is wired properly. Quad coils are weird to me. When I dropped my XXX in my horn (exact same enclosure as yours, but I got mine Line-X'd) one of the terminals got hemmed up on the sub cut out. SOoooo I ended up throwing 3000 watts to the one coil. :crap:

If I didn't live about 7 hours away from Bozeman and need a recone (again), I'd hit this show up.

ah i see what you powering yours with and what kinda numbers?

I'm giving my XXX a SAZ-3000D and the highest I've hit has been a 143.9 on the windshield with a TL. The enclosure isn't designed for really high numbers, it was designed to have good SQ while still being loud. It has a very broad bandwidth and can play anything you throw at it.
On the ride to the Twin Falls, I gave Vmann (that's his screenname here on ca.com) a ride. He was surprised at how accurate everything played and it's broad bandwidth.

Same enclosure. :veryhapp: If it's going in your Taco, it should do fairly well if you have the electrical to back it up. Otherwise you'll be releasing the magic smoke from the amplifier. I know the XXX laughs at 3000watts.

i am working on the electrical..i got a kinetik 2000, yellow top, and big three... 200 amp EA alt and bigger batts to come

That should be okay. If you haven't scooped up the EA alt, you could also check into Mechman's products. They may have a large case alternative that will produce more power.

BTW, is it a V6 or I4?
