me: What meter will you be using at the show?
Him:We are still waiting on the vendor to let us know the specifics, but other wise the sound system would be judged upon looks and overall sound and clarity.

That ***** if it is the AC meter as it can be manipulated to read higher(Sensitivity). I have term lab if they want to be accurate and no manipulation possible.

Email the guy from the Craigslist add tell him you'd be willing to do it and how much more true a Term Lab reads compared to an AC so its at least a decent show.

you can't judge sound with a ear (spl especially). My buddies and I have straight up spl system and they aren't close to pretty but very loud. Let me know if you use a termlab since that very accurate spl meter and judging by ear tells nothing

I replied to ad and offered to bring my term lab and meter the cars at no charge. Just want to be able to promote the Cinco De Mayo Show. I will show my truck on Saturday, but will probably not compete. I did big USACi show last weekend in Hobbs, NM and blew both of my new subs. I guess I did not break them in well. Was still able to take 5-1st place and 1-2nd place(Only one sub). I will be putting in the old mojo cartridges for Cinco show.

you need subs taht can handle it joe. I would get some dd9950 or dc audio level 5 or a sundown nightshade that can take it lol. I would hate to blow a sub. Its 16,000rms

I will be doing the metering(Termlab) for this show. I will setup at 10am and will start running at 11am. Do not know how many trophies they have to give out, but just one category.

Im guessing they dont plan on having a lot of entries.

Hell, Its been so long I dont remember how to get there. I know its over by Jerry Murphy road.

But I can't get off work till 12, so only time will tell.
