overpowering bass, is NOT good for SQ. not at all. clean isntalls (mounted fuses in the engine, insulated wires in the engine) everything looking 'correct', sounding amazing, and being installed well, is the basis of an SQ competition.

Yes, everything should be fused correctly, and presentation must be sharp. The judges are very picky on some things, 1)saftey-wires must be fused properly, having the right wire sizes, protector on the pos. side of battery... 2)hidden wires-take pics of install on things like head unit/power wire under carpet and everything thats covered up. 3) Very pickey on having your ride clean. Engine carpartment and interior. 4) Presentation is +, tell judges everything about your system and why you did it that way, show them any creative things you may of done.

In 96-97 this is what the judges did:

1)measured the RTA.
2)2 judges sat in my car for the SQ
3)went over the install and presentation
4)SPL measurement<----adds to your final score in SQ

*UPDATE*

The IASCA Crew will be doing the judging<---Moe Sabourin and Jeff Fronk... Should be the biggest show in NY State this year, it is a Sound Quality and SPL event and is a 3 key!!! All winners 1-3 in each division will take home CASH prizes. Ive also heard from the grapevine some world records will be broken officially at this event. Ill be their!! Anyone else??
