well, i ditched the type R's and got T1's, for the simple fact that i got a killer deal and i actually like them way better. There isn't much SQ to them, but they get down.

looks nice, how does it sound? have you tried to meter it? lol i've always been curious about down-firing boxes and how significant of a dB gain/loss there is (if anything at all)

i haven't metered it and i couldn't even guesstimate a range.

it sounds really good. it doesn't get too low (which i expected with it's size) but it is surprisingly loud for it's size. all in all, i'm satisfied with it since i got to keep all my seating and still get plenty of bass. i would recommend it to anyone wanting the same.
