Hi all -
I am an old fart audio geek looking to find the best sound quality I can afford on a sadly , limited budget . I am only interested in playing CD's - no need for IPOD or Bluetooth , etc . Have had Nakamichi and Blaupunkt equipment and been very satisfied - had low endish Clarion and Pioneer and Bose { Cadillac ] and been unimpressed - just my preferences . I listen to Cal Audio Labs and Tascam Pro CD players- Vanderstein speakers- Tag McClaren DAC's at home at modest db's to give you some idea of where I am coming from back when I had real money to spend . I joined here to find out about newer equipment or hopefully , find an old school head unit to buy . Any suggestions as to units I should consider looking for would be appreciated . My budget is about 150 $ Thanks , Kelly
