yeah,...true that....
1 XFL 12" in a nice box and an APSM-1500 would get him rockn' fo' cheap.
Anyone else see this?
Anyways...Two tweeters pre-installed in enclosure
Can you fit a 15"?
SSD15 - Fi Car Audio Store
$224 + ship
And I like these amps; Memphis 16-MCD1000
$250+ ship
You can get a box built from a vendor around here, or do it yourself if you are willing to learn.
I think that would be a solid combination.
Edit: It is not too hard to do the installation yourself, we can help you out. I'd use the remaining budget to make sure your electrical is solid: Search for the "Big 3" upgrade here. You'll want to buy a 1/0 wiring kit if your car isn't wired yet. Copper Clad Aluminum should be sufficient.
I am not trying to be rude, but I don't think you know SQL from the first choice of subs you were looking for. you might not know it but I think SPL with deep sounding bass and at 30Hz to blur your mirrors, and at 45hz you want the bass to hit you in the chest like an explosion
I think this is what you are looking for.
Yea, I can basically fit anything, I just got a 2007 GMC Yukon Denali XL![]()

didn't see the mention of the tweeters in the enclosure posted previously. That's a tale tale sign of junk right there.
there are some not bad looking enclosures here : 12 Inch Subwoofer Enclosure | Buy.com | 12 In Subwoofer Enclosure, Twelve Inch Subwoofer Enclosure
Get an 18" then. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zLM...feature=relmfu That look loud enough for you?
SSD18 - Fi Car Audio Store
Not too expensive either.
GCON-12 Sound Solutions Audio 12" 750W GCON Series Subwoofer - SSA STORE = 200
SSA Shop - Sundown Audio SAZ-1500D amplifier = 525
Try to find this used. Someone on the classifieds has five of these at 300 each.
0 GAUGE AMP POWER KIT = 110
That should leave plenty for shipping, a box build, and installation.

Can't blame me for trying. I came to learn and help as well. Would you rather I stayed in the Dome to build my post count to seem more credible?

"Bailout: Taking a trillion dollars from the people and giving it to the banks so the banks can loan it back to the people, at interest!"
Why is everyone recommending he get a 12" or two?
He's got a Denali XL. A good quality, entry-to-mid level 18" and then whatever amp is going to be more cost effective, not to mention EVERYONE has 2 12's. A 15" or an 18" would fill out that trunk with a much better look, IMO... Plus, 1 sub = less work for him to do on his first install. Even if it is marginally more simple / slightly less opportunities for a mistake, I think its still a bonus. 1 Cutout, 2 coils, more options for box dimensions needing only 1 woofer on the baffle... I think he should go with an 18".
