Hello, and Happy New Year

Hey, everyone.
I just recently got a "new" vehicle that I have been wanting for a long time, and am desiring to upgrade the factory sound system, of course!
Joined here cause this site is HUGE, and hoping to get some ideas and some help with the choosing of components and maybe some assistance with the install.
This is my first new truck in nearly 14 years, and all the things that I planned to do to the old one--- but never got around to--- are now back on the front burner!
Unfortunately, I failed to stay "up" on car audio over those years, and so it is like being a noob all over again, now!

PS: I tried to post over in General A/V last night to list my proposed upgrades and ask for advice, but kept getting an error message...something about too many URL's in the post (there were zero), or failing a bad language check (there were no curse words, etc, in the post).
The post had fewer than 2000 characters, and no special formatting or HTML.
Am I doing something wrong...?
