    Hey guys!

    ---------------------edited--------------
    Hi I'm Jack,

New to car systems, not to audio, I know ohms and all that good stuff.
I just bought a system from a good friend for $300 all alpine
    I'll post what I have:

    Subs:
    2x SWR-1522D

    Speakers:
    -- SPR-69C
    -- SPR-17S

    Amps:
    -- MRP-M2000
    -- MRP-F300

    -----------------
    -- Boxworx Ported box

    Capacitor:
-- Stinger 1.0 Farad.(<--- guess im selling this then lol!)

    i forgot to add
Stinger- Sound Quest 250A fuse In a sound quest Fuse holder.(0 Gauge wire)

I have no head yet guys Don't know what to buy. look for something cheap but not sacrificing sound. Any ideas?

    Re: Hey guys!

What's your budget -ish on HU?

And do not use the capacitor. Will not help you. Sell it on craigslist and put the money toward your HU

Here's the traditional reference for capacitors. Read (even if just near the bottom) and you will be enlightened

    Welcome to the forum!

    Re: Hey guys!

oh lol. what car do you have? DIN is the standard stereo size; a lot of cars have a double DIN unit:

Here's an example single DIN, and

Here's a double DIN I would get for that price.

lol not necessarily the single DIN I'd get, just a reference for size

Its an old 1988 Ford taurus that I'm fixing up(only 26k miles on it Rofl). I'm pretty sure it can fit the double din.

    Re: Hey guys!

Might be ISO-DIN (like 1.5 DIN) in which case you'll use an install kit and get a cute little pocket probably. I dunno loads about the recent single DINs, been doing my research on Doubles with that budget you can get a very nice single din though. I will allow others who know more to intervene
