Hello, I am currently "trying" to design, install a stereo for my truck and was doing a little research and came across this forum. I started to read some old threads and being I have been away from the car audio scene for a while (1994-95) I found a lot of useful info. Things sure have changed. I look forward to being able to find some help from time to time as I start my new project as I am a little "rusty". Thanks in adv.

Thanks, I have an ext. cab s-10 (2003) As for the equipment I have chosen what I hope is gonna give me what I'm looking for which is a great sounding and good, not great, spl stereo. I decided on Critical Mass. I have already got my speakers, (1) C522 comp. set, 1) C652 comp. set, 4) SS82 8" (midbass), and 2) UL12 subs. I will be powering up with 2 Critical Mass 5 channel that should be shipped in around 30 days. (2500x1,200x4). The only other thing I have is an extant P500 parametric eq. I really need to find out the output voltage? I bought it kinda not thinking about that and I can't find it in any of the paperwork. Not sure if xtant is even around anymore. (MTX?) Head unit, alt., wires, line drivers(if needed), batts., etc. I am still looking for what fits my needs. (price vs. sort of thing) I will not let a "couple" $$$ mess up my project but I am trying to keep it down as best I can.

Man, that's gonna be a sick, sick, siiiiick stereo. Definately post up pics of the install when you get around to it. That's a heck of a lot of speakers to be fitting in an S-10.

I know what you mean, I use to use multiple subs in my cars "back in the day". So I was thinking this would be a pretty easy task but once the drivers got here I figured I had better get creative as I have never done a small truck with this much before. I have some idea what I want to do but I need to get my amps here to make sure I get the "look" that I want. I would love to see some pics. of similar trucks/setups if anyone has them. It is about 2 1/2 hrs. from Fayetteville

all an S-10 needs is an Image Dynamics 6.5 /horn componet set to come alive .....It is all the front staging and mid bass anyone needs
