    Intro

    Hi guys

Newbie here. Been interested in Car Audio for a while so I am looking for advice and maybe I'll give some too.

Drive a BMW e46 328i with Alpine HU, Focal Polyglass splits, and a 12" Kicker CVR driven by a 1250rms monoblock.

    Cheers

For sure! Initially used the amp for 2x Focal 13"s, then 2x Kicker CVR's. Moved one Kicker to the wifes car so I am just using one CVR until my next enclosure is sorted. Perhaps a 10" bandpass.

For now the CVR is at 2 ohms so the amp is only at half its potential, prolly around 400rms at 14V, which is fine for the CVR in a sealed box.

Currently looking at the Kicker spec for an spl enclosure. I wanna get a bit more skilled in box building before trying for the bandpass option which is gonna tricky in my car.

went looking for 3/4", or 19mm board yesterday but no luck. Will check some other stores today perhaps. Need a **** router as well, but it seems like the priciest of tools sofar

also need a good work bench and clamps. My sealed box took longer than expected just cos I couldn't keep the **** board steady

Tell me, does the CVR crackle a bit under overexcursion? I have experienced that at times so I turned the gain down a tad to be safe.

    ciao for now!
