BEAST Home Audio Receiver, Sansui 9900Z (200wpc!)

    Item(s) for Sale:

    Sansui 9900Z

    Item(s) Description/Condition:

This was one of Sansui's most powerful receivers. Rated at 160wpc, benched at 200wpc. The last of the "good" Sansui's, right before they turned to shit along with everyone else in the 80s. It's not QUITE as nice sounding as the famous 9090db, but it has more features and is much more powerful. This thing was way ahead of its time as far as technology is concerned, just look at the display! Looks really sweet when everything is lit up.

Cosmetically, it's in alright condition. Some scratches here and there. I did the best job I could cleaning the exterior and the guts. It's a "wide load" receiver, in other words it's very wide lol. Quite heavy too, around 40lbs iirc. Shipping won't be friendly lol

Mechanically, it has some issues. First off, the main lights are dim. Second, the volume tracks kind of weird. Third, there is a hum that increases as the volume increases. It will still play the music as it should, but the hum is always present and rather annoying. I think the volume potentiometer needs to be replaced. I don't have the time, but as you know, that's an easy thing to replace.

    Price:

    $100+shipping

    Shipping and Miscellaneous Item Information:

Buyer pays shipping. My car has developed a rod knock (big surprise...just my luck), and there are the mechanical issues, hence the super low price!

    Item Pictures:
(List pictures in this section, 1st picture should be your username/date if you have less than 10 positive feedbacks with the i-Trader system or less than 10 references that you have sold to in the past. (These must be listed in your signature, or a link provided to a feedback thread listing these references)).

The pictures are terrible, I know. I can take better pics if you request!
