I'm thinking of going crazy with an HT sub project and while goofing around with Bass Box I thought, why not use a bandpass? If I design it with a pretty flat response from say, 20-80hz I don't see why it would sound bad...
What do you think? Gimme some input and tell me why this is a retarded idea

Ok here's the problem....

I'm worried about the "cone displacement" graph. If it shows it going beyond the xmax of this sub does that mean it's physically impossible for it to produce that freq? to get it to all fit I have to reduce power to 50watt

Transmission lines and folded horns **** if they're built wrong, but plenty of people attempt them as a worthy technical challenge...
To Beat: I wouldn't place a lot of faith in the Xmax graph...BP enclosures don't tend to model very well.
