Fun with ED K's (e-cone)

I have two of these laying around and I am thinking of putting them to use in my home theater setup.

-Panasonic 100x5 Receiver
-AR Towers w/ side firing twelves
-AR 5 1/4" Bookshelfs (may go to a set of Paradigms)

I am going to use either one of my 15s or possibly two. Do you guys have any reccomendations on plate amps to run this baby? I have found a couple at parts express. This will be my first plate amp experience. Been in car audio for years, but this is my first delve into home. By the way, the sub is a dual 2. I dont need any lectures about impedence or anything.

I would like to know what size and type of enclosure would be best. I was thinking a vented enclosure, or even thinking bandpass since it will be in a big open room. Oh, and I am also thinking of making this into a coffee table as well. Thank you very much for your help.

I actually checked that one out, but wasn't really sure whether it would be enough. Seems pretty decent though.

Any ideas on enclosure? When i had them in my truck they were in 2 ft3 @ 32 hz.

I would tune lower, 30Hz or lower for home use.

500W would pound Go for it.

The 500 watt plate amp from parts express is awesome. A friend in Tampa uses one on a single RF 12". I don't know what his box is ported too. It doesn't get very low, however, around 45-50Hz he can make it uncomfortable to sit in the corner.

I oersonally bought the 15" kit with the 1000 watt version. 3cf sealed. Solid product. Great SQ. Even better low end extension. And yes, very loud.

Okay, so far I have tune low. I am assuming around 25 - 28 hz or so? What about volume? Should I go with the recommended enclosures for car?

I would go even lower I plan on having mine around 20hz. Of course if this is for music mainly...... around 30 would work nicely
