most modern plasma's will automatically shift the image, slowly, to prevent burn-in. you won't even notice it.

Yep. It's the refresh rate. Plasmas are made better now.

We have and older (6 years?) Panasonic and it's still terrific. People constantly ask us if it's HD or what special stuff we have on it, because they are astounded by the picture. Just regular Fios cable, no HD. All of our TV's and DVD players are Panasonic as well. I love being able to use any remote on any device in any room.
