I have a chance to trade my 2000 XLT Explorer(5.0 AWD) for a 97 4dr 4x4 Tahoe.
Both are clean,mileage is similar.
I want something bigger is the only reason Im considering it.
Can you compare these 2 suvs? Or is it unfair.

Keep the X.
ditch the ford. nothing but trouble. chevys are much more reliable. not an opinion....a fact formed from years of experience.
I'd pass on either they don't work to well for home theaters
I wouldn't down trade to a 1997
if he wants to trade there is more than likely a problem.
Another Ex owner I see ;)
I'd have to disagree. I had nothing but fords, never anything serious. I know plenty of people who's GM product had their motor start knocking, was it negligence idk.
I had a 92 351w bronco which had <8 psi of oil, never knocked or ticked. Had to scrap thought because body wasnt worth rebuilding the motor.
Another concern of mine. I would love to trade for a Expedition, but cant find that right person.
