in the market for a tv, recommend me 1

Well ive been searching for a good hdtv but am a noob when it comes to tvs...

what exactly do i look for when buying a tv?

what would you recommend on a $1300 budget?

Also looking for a good cheap 32" hdtv what would you recommend there?

Look into a Toshiba or LG 42 inch LCD. They are not as nice as Samsung but pretty close and cost alot less. You can find a nice 42-47" for around 1000 dollars at Bestbuy. You can also buy a nice Samsung or Sony 32" lcd for around 400 bucks.

Dont go plasma, its a dying technology and they dont last as long as a LCD.

Also contrast ratio dosent mean anything as it is a variant between each manufacturer.

You get your info from like 5 year old reviews? Plasma is the way to go. Go to AVSforum, and look it up. Best TV out is a plasma.

When Pioneer quit making plasma that was the end of it, Pioneer made the best plasma tv's. Their isnt a tv out their that will match up with the Samsung led tv's.

If you have the money to buy right now go to Walmart today, they are having a really good sale on tv's today. I think a Sharp 40" lcd for 500 bucks or something.

myself have a sony bravia best tv i've ever owned.i canrun 2 screens at 1 time so its a good tv 4 the money.

That Sharp isnt bad but the quality of Sharp lcd's has really went downhill. You want to make sure the tv is 1080p and if your spending at least 1000 dollars, make sure it is 120hz.
