very good question.
sub has to be wired, i would think.
afraid that the satellites won't be that powerful?
can't wait to see some of the "brillant" responses to that question
the only totally wireless i have seen have batteries and are not much more than a few watts, you still need to plug them into the wall but no speaker wires

so even with the rear channel 100% wireless it's still gonna ****?
would i probably be better with two front satellites, center channel, and sub?
run wires?

why you looking into wireless to begin with? is your setup unable to hide wires?

waste of time and money. i have never heard any wireless systems worth the money, you're better off spending money on a really nice sound bar.

thought of the sound bar but would love the rear channel
unit is on the 14th floor of a building in atlanta.
running wires and hiding them are not feasible
so how about front sat's, a bar, and a sub?
you don't get anything worth a rear channel with wireless speakers. you can ask any of the guys that do installs for my HT company. I am sure you're probably gonna just waste your money on some cheap wireless speakers b/c you are clearly intent on doing so. good luck with whatever you find.

Go with a soundbar or a nice stereo setup with some good speakers. Wireless is way overrated and picks up a lot of interference. Polk has some pretty good soundbars. You run them off a 5.1 channel receiver.

i'm not intent on doing so but the setups i've seen sounded great with rear channel.
i'm open to any setup as long as it sounds good.
so . . . . what's a good route for front sat or a sound bar and a sub????
I'd go with Polk for a soundbar. They make some pretty decent subs too. I wouldn't do satellites up front. You'll be much better off with some large bookshelves or floor speakers. Klipsch is a brand that comes to mind with bookshelves and floor speakers. The Synergy series from Klipsch would fit in your price range for a center channel, two speakers like the F1 towers, and a 10 or 12 inch sub.
