Pics and review of Dayton 15" HT subwoofer kit

Since this board has such small picture allowances see the thread listed here. I am extremely pleased but like all the audio stuff I have ever owned... I will probably try another sub later For $610 you can't beat this sub for HT and it rocks the house sounding good doing it!

Re: Pics and review of Dayton 15" HT subwoofer kit

I need to change my sig too because the DefTech 1000 system is gone. The 1000 sub doesn't even compare and the other pieces didn't work with my room. I am so glad I went 15 rather than the 10 or 12 I was eyeing up when I pulled the trigger on this one.

I have been listening to music today and it is great. I also watched some of Terminator 2 and Batman and it is just great. War Of The Worlds with this thing would be unbelievable! The problem is I can't crank it at night because of the neighbors.

The 19" footprint worked for me too. Not really all that big but big output. In experimenting the corner to the left of my sectional firing to the right front is working best so far. I would really like to put it right up front but since my walk-way is right there I think it would just stick out too far. For $600 clams it is hard to beat this kit. If anything at all could be improved upon it would be to maybe try a different sub. At some point I may do that just to quell my need for change.

Sell it and buy an audiopulse 15-18" ultra sub and a crown xti4000

    Or just double on subs

I just ordered my second 15" for my setup and a second amp... Thinking I might even go 4-15"s

Re: Pics and review of Dayton 15" HT subwoofer kit

Waiting on the other pieces to come in but I have three DefTech Mythos 8's for the front and two Bipolar BP2X's for the rear on their way. Other than that I have an Onkyo 605 and a DirecTv HD/DVR and a DVD player. I plan on doing a Blue-Ray at Christmas or a combo setup. My room is going to slam now with this stuff in there!

I have heard those Mythos before, not a bad sounding tower at all...

You should be very happy with them...

Would that be your new oem? If so, what are your plans for it?
