Sony receiver, processes DTS and all that good stuff (it's an old receiver)

x2 Bose Model 141 Bookshelf Speakers
    Yamaha Self-powered Sub

This is all just in my little desk, and it creates a semi box for the sub so it sounds really nice. I only use it for music, or plugging in my laptop

Re: Post your home audio setups. Here is mine.

I'd figure that I would share all my **** since you guys already have.

I have the PS3 going to the TV. Samsung LN-T4071. The reciever is a Denon AVR-1707.
Front speakers are the lovely Hertz HSK-165s as well as my center channel. The satellite speakers are just no name crap.
The subwoofer is a RE SX18 powered by a Dayton 1000 watt plate amp (sitting on top of the mini-fridge). The box is just over 17 cubes before displacements, and 8.4 after. Tuned to 18 hertz. I can share some 3d pictures of the design before I built it if you guys want.

    questions or comments?

I like it, but I must have a bad rip because the quality is abysmal, even with lame encoded 320, which doesn't usually sound THIS bad compared to a CD...

So on that note, how is the CD version? In the rip she sounds lifeless and metallic, not to mention dynamics are completely gone...want to make sure I don't buy crap...

    I really do.. hahaha..

I just remembered, I have a Logitech Harmony One remote on its way as of today.
Also, the towers are ported tuned to 43 hertz I think. I never really planned on having a subwoofer, but I guess we now know how that turned out.

That is one of the shittiest looking setups I've ever seen, and as you probably know, the shittier the better when it comes to my taste

Oh, btw, a little tip. try putting those speakers on something solid about 10-12" tall. Your tweeter is nowhere near ear height, it's firing into people's chest when they're on the couch unless your gf likes clear audio when giving dome

A lot of people don't like her.

Oh well. It defiantly isn't the most HI-FI music you can find but I still like something in her sound.

Extraordinary Machine isn't bad at all. A little over done sometimes but not bad.

Sweet! Thank you once again....its an interesting album to say the least. A few songs are too much for me, but the rest I really enjoy...

Looks like I'll be off the the music store soon

BTW she kind of reminds me of the singer from Jefferson Airplane in some songs. Specifically in "Get Him Back"

I never linked that together but you are right.

I like the one where she is singing about "I had to break the window".

I dig her use of Piano in things too. If you buy the CD and hate it don't hold me responsible...

hmm.. I never thought of that.. Actually, I have two pairs of Digital Designs 6x9s that are laying around with an older ****** house amp. I may just build a couple of boxes for those bastards and mount them to the bottom.
