    Who the hell said OMFG!!!! tEh speakerz sound best when as close to the tv as possible, it's just how I have them right now
    Because one has a broken peg and won't stand itself up, and I haven't fixed it yet. Plus, a lot of the the time people sit on the couch to the left of the tv, and if the speakers are set futher apart, they only hear the left, and the right's off axis is not spread far enough to sound decent. And this way, it sounds decent from all angles of the couch.

    If you can't hear the right speaker when sitting on the left side you need better speakers because they can't disperse and image very well.
