I wondered what happened to this thread? Good to see it back on top. What kind of speakers are those? And yea, your friend needs to get with the times, you can fit a 27 inch crt in there for sure!

And a belt-drive turntable on the bottom lol.

The speakers are some DIY project I did a long time ago. Bought the stuff at partsexpress...can't remember the make of the drivers now. I think dayton and hi-vi.

Oh the speaker stands I made out of 2" PVC pipe and spare MDF then spray painted all black haha.

Stacked Polk speakers? Is there a separate stereo hi-fi and HT system or something?

Re: Post your home audio setups. Here is mine.

Since when does butting your speakers up against the TV make them sound good? Almost comical! I guess you guys have never heard of stereo separation!

Spread those things out so you get correct sound effect placement across the front stage for crying out loud, that's if mommy or daddy will let you.

    1995 Oriental Blue BMW 525i 5 Speed
Stock Alpine System Actively Crossed Over & Amped w/CD 6-Disc Changer System with a/d/s 235is comps in front (3-Ways front, 2-Ways rear) sounds really good. All functions are displayed on the dash's check control display module.

Is this what you mean by stereo separation?

    What is your system?

Re: Post your home audio setups. Here is mine.

That is certainly alot better, even toe'd in some to the listening space - nice job! Bowers & Wilkins makes some very nice sounding speakers.

I posted my system back on page 31, but it has changed a little since posting it in April. I don't have photo hosting and the forum photo posting software is horrid with only like 30K photo's allowed.

    The system consists of:

Hitachi Ultravision 42HDX69 42" 1080i Cinema Plasma Television
NAD T-163 A/V Tuner Preamplifier Processor
    Sherbourn 7/2100A 7-Channel True Mono Block Power Amplifier (7 X 200W/300W)
    '88 Klipsch Klipschorn's (KB-OO) - Mains (Upgraded to AK-3's Kimber Kap'd Networks)
'78 Klipsch La Scala (LS-BR) - Center Channel (K-401K, K-77M, DeanG Hot-rodded Auricapped DHA2Xover, Solder Terminal Dual Phase Plug K-55V)
'77 Klipsch Klipschorn's (KB-WO) - Rears (DeanG Built Auricapped ALK Jr's, Solder Terminal Dual Phase Plug K-55V's)
'80 Klipsch Cornwalls (C-WL) - (Type B Networks with Auricapped & Erse Coils) Rear Effects/Centers
BBE Audio Restoration System (ARS) Processor
    Velodyne HGS-15 15" Servo-Subwoofers - (2)
    Denon DVD-2900 w/Mod 1 Universal DVD/CD/SACD Player
DBX DX5 Reference CD Player w/DAIR
Sony SLF-740HF VHS Hi-Fi Video Cassette Recorder
RCA DRD-485 Dolby Digital Satellite TV Receiver
Panamax M5400-EX Home Theater Power Conditioner
Lots of High End Twisted Pair interconnects and 10AWG OFC Speaker Wire

    Yea... I know....

I am not a n--bx... It usually takes me about 3-4 hours to position speakers where I like them the best. My gf thinks I am nuts...
