and i told you, once you go hd you will not like sd... not even upconverted. and the sound improvement i think is even better then the picture quality improvement... (sq improvement comes from teh stand alone hd-dvd players not the add on!)

myself i jumped on the blu ray bandwagon also so now i have the best of both worlds hd-dvd and blu ray

Yes, untill DirecTV gets their **** together, I will have to deal with the antenna for the local channels. I was going to get DishNetwork but they only have about 20 HD channels and they want a 18 month commitment. DirecTV is (supposedly) coming out with 150 channels in HD but we dont know when yet.

The main power, HDMI, and Component cables will will stay as is. I may get a color matched cover to hide them but I am not busting up the wall just to hide them.

YEs, the stand is **** IMO. I agree, nothing is more pure than over the air HD. Especially in 1080i. The dolby digital surround that accompanies it is great too.
I ordered some music DVD's from Netflix to enjoy them. Awesome stuff... I think it will be even better once my Oppo 981HD gets here. I will use it until the HD/BR saga comes to an end and a winner prevails and a winner is announced.

had a box i wasent using, 3.5cu. 2, 6" flared ports tuned to 35hz
slapped a peice of birch on the front with some brass plated screws
sub is a 15" rf hx2 dvc 2ohm in series at 4ohm in a dayton 25w plate amp.
sub is facing downward about 1 1/2" off the ground, ports facing the wall.

cant tell were the bass is coming from, but sounds nice

bottom pic is my front speakers i made, mdt 37 tweeters,
8" sound impulse midrange and eminence 2way passive crossover.

To the guy who asked i like the speakers they do really well for a cheap pair, picked them up for less than 100. I like the sound, my only real complaint is sometimes they bite off more than they can chew on songs with deep bass lines and it sounds kinda ****** the subwoofer masks it but i can here them playing lower than they should ever try still lol.
