    I bet it's pricey though.
    Actually....

The Theta and using the Arcam as a Transport is what I was thinking about doing...

I guess they do. But BEAT is correct about Meridian being a great name in digital but Meridian might be even MORE expensive than Theta. Meridian prices are RIDICULOUS. But they are some the BEST home audio equipment on the market. Theta however has always been a household name when it comes to D/A conversion.

The only reason I bring it up is because you were already talking about your neighbors bitching about your stereo at normal listeing levels. Let alone, when you want to open it up a little bit. Or listen to a movie the RIGHT way.

pretty much i can play it as loud as i want but i dont take advantage of it and play it full tilt and lately i dont play it as loud my roomate is babysitting from 9-5 his niece and shes a big cry baby so i dont want to get the blame for her crying so often lol (newborn)

but for me now i can play it loud after 5pm LMFAO he works nights and when his home he is usually watching tv till 2 am sometimes it gets on nerves but i bite my tounge cause the day i tell him something will be the day i also wont be able to play it loud lol

ps people who complain are haters cause they know they are never gonna have anything like it so they rather complain so others cant enjoy their stuff..

That is so not true. I don't live in an apartment, or even close to anyone, but I know that if my neighbor was shaking my walls, your **** right I'd complain. I'd complain my little *** off. Not because I could "never get that", because it's just not very courteous. Now, if it's a slight muffled sound or something, that'd be fine.

I'm just glad we live on 3 acres with no houses anywhere near close by. I can crank up the stereo as loud as I want

The girls that work the front desk come up and ask me to turn it down. BUT, I am friends with 5/6 of them so it isn't really a problem.

I don't see how they are bothered by it, if I go into my bath room I can't even hear it. So, oh well....

    Indeed.....

My freshman year the guy that lived next to me had a old school fisher system. Sounded OK, but the last day before we both moved out we put all our speaker in the door way so they fired down the hall and I ran him a signal cable and we played our **** at max. People 4 floors away were complaining...
