Here is mine, it leaves most theater's in the dust. Dual Velodyne Servo 15's can provide serious subsonic bass. Four Klipsch Klipschorn's a La Scala center and Heresy surrounds all with reworked Auricapped networks provide detail beyond belief.

I make rear-loaded, double crabshell, isobaric enclosures.

do they sell towers that are pre-made loaded with speakers that sound good? i could probably build one, but i have no idea how to design one and what speakers to use.

You would get the best bang for the buck from a DIY setup.... there are pretty nice kits out there. Might look into those, won't have to pick drivers and design x-overs and stuff.

any places i can look for them?

PE had kits, Madisound has nice ones, so does Zalytron..... Those are a good place to look at least.

so basically something like this http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...number=302-930 and it'll just plug into the receiver and i'm set?
I need to change my pants. Four? *purring noises* What's the amplification?
It's a matter of flexibility, too...simply swapping out the preamp to a different one can get you different benefits, something that you can't even think about doing with a simple one-box setup. And monoblocks take that even further, with individual power supplies for each channel and making sure there's no crosstalk at the PA stage - basically lets you go balls to the wall with components without having to worry that everything is crammed into one chassis with all the compromises that brings. Not to mention your e-***** grows <________________> much over HTIB'sThough the receiver amps can be quite good in the HT world, none will compete with a very high quality preamp/amp combo. Just seperating the chasis lowers the noise levels.![]()
Come to the dark side...more pics. i need ideas. i may give up teh caraudio for HT.![]()

yikes im not sure, but for that price, i'd m be much more inclined to pick up some premade speakers from a real company.
If B&W EE reads this im sure he will wonder if someone hijacked my computer, becasue i also am an avid DIY'er, but only if it gets you more for you money...
i would take any of these over that dayton kit..the components are chosen or built with the final product in mind, instead of being a generic item, just matched up with other stuff...

Currently running a Sherbourn 7/2100A True Seven Channel Mono Block (115lb monster with dual power cords) with balanced inputs running 7 x 200W however with 104db@1W sensitivity I seldom need more than about 20W.
