Well, considering just a pair of WAVAC 833 SET monoblocks goes for $325,000, and you still need a preamp for them, actually not too bad at all

    Re: Expensive Home Theater

That's cheap, a lot of guys have $300k + systems in the U.K.

...but I adhere to the laws of diminishing returns well before those prices lol.

I'm a broke-*** college student, $5k is approaching my point of diminishing returns at the moment

    Re: Expensive Home Theater

Lol, if I get my crap done I'm estimating about a total of $2-2.5k for everything.... not bad when it all would have cost like $3,600 for the equip. minus the speakers.

I didn't read the thread, but I thought he's also making this for business?
    /speculating

Maybe if he's a HT designer, by showing off his creation he lures clients,
perhaps it will pay for itself one day ?

    Re: Expensive Home Theater

Usually I have something evil and clever to say about this, but I don't know
what to think as I didn't even bother analyzing all those pieces.

It seems though... he is plagued by many audio and video demons, perhaps
this video demons are greater now over the audio one. Previously he used
an Infinity line array and now he's downgraded to a normal sound system.
