    Dont kill me for asking

My amp outputs are only 2volts... I Was wondering if there was a way to increase this before the RCA's hit the amp... can you connect the RCA's up to something first then to the amp??

This is such a noob question... I feel retarded

Your amp wont take 2 volts?? Wont their be more distortion with a line driver??

Don't even bother if you don't have any noise in your system. The increased voltage will do NOTHING for you if you have a noise free system already....and adding a line driver will actually increase your chances of getting noise.

There is your problem Lower input voltage = higher gain setting needed.

Go through and reset your gain via the gain setting tutorial. After you reset your gain to the proper level, you should not notice any differences.

    EDIT: ****, I'm slow

Re: Dont kill me for asking

Thank god... see I never even thought about that... and once I had my gains set perfect... I Was happy as could be... so now I gotta get out my metter and test it!! YAY

    the equation is right.... right?

Square root (Desiered wattage x Final Ohm)
    Square root (2000 x 1)
    Square root 2000
    44-45 volts... right?
    At 45 hz....?
