    deck getting hot

I have a Pioneer premier 860, and today if started getting hot. Not like "Oh, thats a little warm" hot, but "Motherfvcker, that shlt is hot!" hot. The cd started stopping playback for a split second, then continued in the same spot.
I had been playing it pretty consistently for a few hours, but Ive done that before with no problems. Thoughts or suggestions on this?

is the cooling fan on the back of the deck still working? check that out.
