adjusting the levels on the iva-d300

i'm trying to get familiar with my new head unit.
i noticed that it has preset levels for the eq.
does anyone know how to adjust the bass/mid/treb individually.
or make a custom level.
i been so busy at work, that i havent had enuff time to play with my new toy.

okee, i figured out how to access the custom setting (p-eq).
now this newb is lost once again.

there is 3 different settings in this menu

1 hertz
2 db
3 q

within each of those settings i can set

1 highs
2 mid highs
3 mid lows
4 lows

i been reading some info about eqs and such...however, reading those posts is like reading chinese (and i'm korean), a complete foreign language (too technical). anyways, i feel like the overall sound of my car is too high/harsh even choosing from the various standard eq settings. i'm trying to achieve a *warmer* sound. i guess more mid high and more bid bass. especially when i play rock. i feel like the drums and the bass guitar are lacking.
can i get a quick tutorial on how to adjust these settings accordingly written in the language of newb?

read the eq tutorial...this is too complicated and time consuming for me to do right....anyone know a good tuner/tutor in LA? i think hands on teaching will help me out much more? maybe i'll post an ad in wiring...i'm talking to myself lol
