the only thing that really sets it apart from the 9835 is the looks, mainly that ipod-looking strip. other than that, theyre almost the same internally.

Just bought mine today and getting it installed on saturday. Was surprised they already had it and the only reason I found out was because they were having a hard time finding the 9835 I originally wanted.

The specs also list the ablity to retain your stock steering wheel controls for a remote. THis is the feature I'm waiting to hear about before i get alpine or pioneer. I really like the 860mp, but I don't want to have steering wheel controls that don't function.

Getting it installed tomorrow morning (first appt.) and will post up a few pics after that. I'll post a review on it early next week after I get used to the options and play with it for awhile.
