    Alpine 9853 and 9855

Crutchfield has just listed them on their site with a release date of 3/7/2005 on the 9853 and a out of stock on the 9855. Looks like i am going to wait till next month to order my new cd player but I can't wait to get my hands on a 9853

Crap and I just bought the CDA-9835! I wonder if ABT will take mine back so I can get that one! Looks nice and I'm loving the new touch pad!

Yeah the touch pad and the 5 band equalizer is what made me change my mind from the 9851 to the 9853. I am hoping the menus are easier to navigate with the touch pad as I know my friends 9831 and it is a pain to access everything

Don't buy audio from ABT. It is over priced and the same quality as anywhere else. Your first mistake was buying from ABT... I only buy from there when I have a gift certificate. Buy off ebay or crutchfield or even a trustworthy aduio store in the city... (By city I mean Chicago.)

I hope we will still be able to cut the internal amp off.

Would be worthless to return it for a touch pad..? *LOL* man... I am personally worried that it will not hold up to well in the heat and over time like my laptop touch pads...

    Re: Alpine 9853 and 9855

that's a typo on crutchfield. if you look at the main description it listed 4volts and on their site it's listed as having 4 volts preouts.

Um, Crutchfield is notoriously overpriced. Great service though.

    Re: Alpine 9853 and 9855

sorry for the double post but crutchfield has a lotta typos it's pissing me off. and alpine only has the 9851 on their site. i'd sell my 9830 for it if it only had 4v preouts. too bad. i dont even need 3 either. i hate the display on the 9830, so unreadable in the daytime. the dot matrix looks like a better setup. and the girls keeps saying blue button alpines look better but whatever
