Most you are able to, I used to hook my iRiver to mine.

you can hook pretty much anything into your AUX... not just an IPOD. I plug a laptop into mine to run some signal tones every now and then

For an Auxillary input all you need is something that has a headphone jack or rca outputs, laptop, dvd player, any mp3 player, cd player, mini disc, tape deck, mini radio, the list goes on forever. The ipod is the only mp3 player that will interface with certain head units thoguh.
