7th gen accord owners... HU help...

i know there are a few of you out there
who own the newest of the honda accords
with the factory HU being integrated with the
climate control...

well... i heard my old JL subs in my
friends car set up and they sounded so
much better than they did in my car...
the SQ was so obviously better i can
safely say its because his HU is better
than my factory HU...

is there any way to just install an
aftermarket HU separate from the
factory setup?

has anyone done anything like this?
maybe keep the new HU in the glove
box or something???

Yes, I have an '03 6MT. Although I didnt sacrifice the HU itself (Navi) there are ways to do it. Metra has a relocation kit to move the radio to your pocket area. Gimme a call, Ive taken my car apart dozens of times and can probably give you alot more detailed info via the phone...(Im not the greatest typer LoL) 732-921-9046

No, that one doesnt apply to our cars with the auto climate control, only the manual.

This one relocates the radio to the pocket below. Your factory radio will stay intact, just not used....
