I currently have it. I got it for $380 off of ebay. Good deal, and BRAND NEW. I've had no problems, and I love it. I can control EVERYTHING, and it's better than the 9833. It's worth the extra money. Definately get this one...

We sell alpine at the shop i work at. I have installed numerous 9835s this year. I like them better than last years stuff (personal opinion). We have had no problems out of alpine's line this year. It's been good to us. Youve got the thumbs up from me.

really? because i thought the only diff between the 9833 and the 9835 is the display. Everything else is the same.

    That display is killer though.

As for the install, just remember to run the power straight from the battery. My brother didn't on his 9833, and had a little smoke coming from the dash a week later.

you only need that if u plan on using the internal amplifier. I turn the setting "power ic" off...this turns the internal amplifier off, which is obviously useless w/ all component amplifiers. So, basically, i just use it as a pre-amp. peace
