Pioneer Premiere DEH - 940 vs DEH - 960

Anyone have any pros/cons to set one above the other?

With the 940, you dont have to have the faceplate open in order to see that beautiful OEL screen

WOW!!! This is DEJA-VU for me.......I LOVE BOTH...I got the 9400 (just like 940) because I got a great price and personally I think the overall feel and looks of the 9400 where better for "ME". But ****..I was at FRY's Yesterday with my Fiance and I spent 2 hours playing with that 9600..IT IS COOL..Those Color screens are better than I thought..VERY CLEAR and accurate.
Personally (as I pretended to be sitting in my truck playing music)..I noticed the Faceplate seemed to "get in the way" of using the knobs and buttons..and CD install/take out..

Honestly..I left Fry's happy I got the 9400..The 9600 was too much..But I would take that screen anyday!

well i don't feel like listing pros and cons sence i am lazy, But i'll just say get ur self the 940.

I love Premier decks. I've been using them for a while now. From the DEX-P1R, DEH-P920R, DEH-P930, and now I have a DEH-P860. One thing that all these head units have in common is that none of them are of the double face nature. In my opinion I would stay away from the double face units until Pioneer fixes the problems they are having with those. So I would recommend 940 between those 2. The 860 is one hell of a deck as well though.

yeah the 860/8600 i like better than the 960/9600... same display... cept on the 860/8600 you don't have the double face... which is what i disliked about the 8500... but i absolutely LOVE my 8600 :-D
