Best Single DIN head unit...I know there aren't many options these days...

I've been out of the car audio thing for a while but I'd like to have a DVD player in my car. The car is older and will only support a single DIN head unit.

I've been looking around a bit and don't want to spend more than 300. It used to be that you could pic up some nice single DIN DVD players for around there but it all seems to be Double DIN now days.

Anyone have any suggestions for me?

I've always heard terrible things about Jensen but maybe that has changed?
    Thinking about this:
    Jensen VM9115 In-Dash 7" DVD/MP3 Car Receiver w/ USB iPod Control

Don't really need anything higher than 2V preouts as I am running a joke of a sub stage and speakers are garbage running of the HU. Would this be a viable option for me?

    Thanks!

Last I heard Jensen is still pretty much junk. But it is getting hard to find single din dvd players from other places. Power acoustic and soundstream make some but I can't speak fi r the quality.

I would save up a little more and grab this one:
    Pioneer AVH-P6300BT (AVHP6300BT) 7" DVD Player w iPod & Bluetooth

But if it has to be under $300 then this one:
    Clarion VZ401 (VZ-401) In-Dash Car DVD Player w/ 7" Monitor & Bluetooth

Re: Best Single DIN head unit...I know there aren't many options these days...

The clarion vz401 is a strong head unit. I ran one for 2 years and loved it.

The pioneer is what I was going to switch out to, but I played with one a local bought and hated the screen. It seemed really finicky and the controls didn't really meet my expectations honestly.

The flip out screens are kinda dieing off since most new vehicles can fit double dins(or come stock with them).

Just my thoughts tho. Take it how you want. Lol
