    DEH-80PRS SQ question

Will I still get a noticeable SQ improvement if I run it passive? I'm not sure how much of an improvement my new amp will make. I want one so bad, just want to make sure I get SQ passive or active.

    In short, yes.

This headunit will give you more tuning capabilities than your current headunit. You gain time alignment, a much better EQ, & more crossover flexibility. These are all functions that can be beneficial in either a passive or active setup.

    Not to mention better DAC's.

DAC and DSP are the most factors in picking a deck.
Time alignment and eq helps a lot for a good sounding source is #1
