    Kenwood KDC-x994

Just installed this deck and Im a huge USb user. When I first get in I like to just be able to sift through folder names then the songs in that folder. Can anyone explain how to bring up a list of folders on a usb drive? Learning all the settings are a bit overwhelming at first.

Awesome. Ty for the quick reply. That worked well. Now i just cant make the display color like I want it. I really want a black display screen with whatever color I choose for text and buttons. for instance red text on black background. (without red hue to the display) i tried r g b and it blacked out text as well.

Set your colors as you want. Then there is a setting for positive 1, positive 2, negative 1, negative 2. It switches the colors somehow, I can't recall, I haven't played with it since I set mine. But also Pos 1 and Pos 2 are the same. UNTIL you turn on your headlights. one will keep it the same when your headlights turn on, and the other will switch text and background colors when your headlights come on.
Like I have mine, white background/ black text. Since it's the easiest to see in daylight. And then I have them switch when I turn on my headlights, so it's not as bright.

    Re: Kenwood KDC-x994

i tried this. to no avail. I still cant get the hue of whatever color I choose to go away. It does dim when i turn the lights on but I dunno, its not right. Is it possible to have a totally black display with text on top of it?
