    Icon32 JVC840 Won't turn off amp.

Well, First off I live in a military residency and I saw that there is an option to turn off bass on the HU. This would be ideal for me to kill the bass.I did wire the remote wire from the hu to the amp. But when I go to turn off the amp from the HU it doesn't shut off the amp. Is that normal?

You're turning off the sub, not the amp. So the amp will stay on. The rcas's from the amp should be plugged in the "subwoofer" section behind the hu

^^ This. The amp will stay on but the sub preouts on the HU will shut off.

Negative, Sub output is still sending signal. I'm going to have to take another video.

Check that you're using the sub preouts and not the rears.

I know I am using a sub preout because the output is mono. And I bought a mono to stereo connector.

Very odd then. Almost sounds like the HU has some issues. Sorry we haven't been much help.
