Help me plan out a HU install

I went to a vary of local audio shops, it seems the median price for a HU install for my vehicle is $250-350 installed, i only have a quote of one place here on hand.. $328.60

Anywho, i wanted to get some opinions on everything i would need for an install in my 2003 Pontiac Bonneville with ONSTAR(required to retain) and non amplifier radio system

Only thing i have picked out is the required harness at the lowest price i can find:
Metra GMOS-05 $70

HU i had in mind was the kenwood KDC-x396 @ $130, that already brings me to $200

I don't know exactly how ONSTAR incorporates into the stock radio, but $330 is way high for a HU install.

So they are charging you $125 to install it? Keep looking or find a mate to help ya

You will also need the dash kit as well.

while your at it just chop off yor right arm and give it to them...but seriously, thats crazy high. I would say do it yourself, and find someone on here who has installed a HU on a car with on star. If not here, Im sure there has to be write ups on it somewhere else on the interwebz
