parking brake bypass Pioneer avh 1400

Can I just ground the green wire or do I need a relay?

i bypassed my avh-2400bt with a 5 pin relay. didnt try the grounding method tho

Ive heard both ways but some have said just grounding will not work

yeah which is why i went straight for the relay. cost like $3, plug a ground to 2 of the relay terminals and then tap the remote turn on to one, and the green parking wire to the last terminal. the center one is unused. cant remember exactly which wire goes to which terminal tho, i did it a while ago. just look up some videos on it. its really easy
