Alpine CDA-9886 phone issue

Alright I have a htc vivid with the ice cream sammich 4.0.3 software. Whenever I run my usb to my phone that connects to my hu, it doesnt detect anything. I have tried the bluetooth feature on my hu which doesnt work at all. I heard on another thread about some kind of alpine software you have to download to get that to work, but I am not sure. Anyone got any suggestions?

You need an Alpine BT adapter to make that feature work. Your best best to use your phone through USB is to set it to Mass Storage Mode, but I don't think the 9886 will work like that.
