Well i bought the Kenwood X994 for now.
I'll sell my Alp0ine once it arrives and start saving some money for a high end deck.
Has anyone heard if there are any good single DIN units coming out soon around the $500-$600. All the brands seem to make units up to about $300 and then up from there it jumps over $1000 for a mcintosh or Pioneer P99 or similar.
Nothing in between coming in the near future?
I'd love to see a new version of the Pioneer P800 / P880 unit![]()

Yeah the 7200 is what i wanted but couldnt find any. I was looking at pretty much all the decks you mentioned on woofers etc and then noticed that they all said "out of stock" in little letters
I'm in Australia so has to be online where i can find one and i want new, not second hand.
You dont know any decent online stores that still have these do you?

Whatever you do don't buy a Kenwood x693/x993. You'll be sorry you did. Massive glare on the screen in the daylight and the face will cut off on you at some point and rarely turn back on or never.

I have the Alpine CDA 9887, and it is pretty nice.
Good SQ, and tons of settings. The settings are not hard to navigate either if you take the time to read the manual (omg...I said read a manual)
Also, you can turn off the stereo wattage and use total amp power. Cleans up the signal some from my experience.
You can do the Alpine Imprint from Crutchfield. I didnt, but they offer a setup where you put down $50, use it, then send it back. Or something like that.
I am able to setup the crossover/eq settings and really do not use the crossover on my amps at all. Just have to take the time to set it up properly.
It also has 4v preout / front, rear, sub pre outs / and subwoofer controls. Acts like a bass knob built in.

Yeah no USB in though. And if i add the USB adapter it will do the banking thing my Alpine now does which is the reason its out of the car after only 3 weeks.
I will keep an eye out for a 7200 MK II or a 5030. Hopefully one pops up somewhere. Untill then the Kenwood x994 should be here this week. We'll see how that goes.
