Not looking to go all out but I am looking for a head unit and an external equalizer w/crossover that I may use for competition stuff (SQ).

Any recommendations??

I am thinking of this guy:

And the Alpine 9886 because of the looks and I get a good deal. Would the EQ settings on the deck matter as much since I am using the external one??
