does anyone know anything about these head units? i see prices online and their like 250+, how great are they? i can get one for like 60 bucks... and wondering if its a steal.

Well it has built-in xm radio but not a whole lot of other features---it only features one set of pre-outs and won't play MP3's..You would do better to get an MP3-capable unit that can accept a sat tuner box---there are multitudes of them on the 'bay.

Also that radio came out in '04 so it is a little long in the tooth..
If you are looking in that era and price range check out CDA-9811/9813/9815--those have 3 pre-outs, MP3 capability, and you can add a sat tuner to them(SIR-ALP1 going for ~25 bucks on ebay)..
