been out of the loop for over a year

i've got an alpine 9885 and no real system
have always liked the pio 880prs and 800prs

are they still the cats ****?

i want to give my wife the 9885 and start a new build.
i love the features list and the looks. used to have an 860mp so i like pioneer in general

    any thoughts?

I researched quite a bit on either Alpine or Pioneer before I pulled the trigger on my Alpine 9887.
I dont think you can lose with either or the Pioneers you listed.
    Highly regarded.

i must have went back and forth between the 880 and both the 9885 and 9887 for ages before i chose.
went with the 9885 over the 9887 due to budget since they (the alpines) had very similar features.

well, i'm going to track down an 880 i think
