    All SONY HU CLIPs ?

    im using the SONY CDX-GT420U it clips 21 out of 34 are they all like this ?



    Jeep Grand Cherokee 2000

    SONY XPLOD CDX-GT420U,
    Power Acoustic BAMF 5500/1 Amplifier,
    2 Type R 15 Dual 4ohms,
    Ported 7.07'cu Tuned 34hz
    KnuKonceptz Silver Pearl 1/0 + 4 Gauge Wires,
    Big 3 1/0 Gauge wire.
    2 Kicker Distribution Block DB1448,
    Fuse Holder ANL 300amp,
    Dash + Wiring Kit.

    You might leave the bass and treble settings as neutral as possible to aid in keeping the clipping at a minimum but yeah, that's about where you might start to experience that. Loudness button will factor in as well.

    How are you measuring the clipping?

    even when the hu was powering the hu there was distortion at 22 of 34.


    so i do think its from the HU and not the amp
