iso head unit

so im looking to spend around 200 bucks, give or take for a headunit. i will not be running any amps to the speakers, so id like it to have a nice built in eq. so far, im leaning toward the pioneer deh-5100ub.

i had a pioneer deh-6800 in my jeep that i was extremely happy with.

btw i have 2 10'' kicker cvrs in the trunk

its the same exact price actually. (its mores, but its on sale for 209.99) whats the difference? its got the same specs, only it says "premier" on it. looks the same as well.

premier decks have higher preout voltages, and usually some amenity for free that isn't free with the regular pioneer deck. in this case I think its the ipod cable

It's $204.99 for me. It also has a two year warranty instead of one and an ipod cable. Crutchfield's comparison chart doesn't note a voltage difference though.

yeah, it is 204.99 guess ill save the 5 bucks if i go with this. any other suggestions? i just need something that sounds nice. nothing fancy.

I've been looking for the same thing, see my thread a couple below yours. I was thinking about going with a DEH-P6000UB that they have on sale plus the HD radio tuner for 179. I'm not sure which one is better, they have similar stats: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...&hidesimilar=y

yeah i checked that out already. its def a good price. but the one thing i would really like to have is the front aux port. its really usefull and you dont have an ugly wire running from around the from back of the cd player

it doesnt have the front aux port like i would have liked - but heres my solution. that little pocket that ill have under the hu, ill drill a hole, build a little wall, and make my own **** port. i dont feel bad drilling into aftermarket stuff just no holes in the car lmao.

it looks pretty sweet to me. any1 have experience with this guy?
