I noticed this is now in stock at Crutchfield. Anyone have any experience or reviews of it yet?

If it's 300 at CrotchFeel, then I'd imagine it would be in the 250 range at other various online outlets. I haven't seen it listed on my usual websites of choice, but they should be there soon.
Once it comes out, and the price is right I'll probably sell my 9887 and swap to the CD5030. Looks like a great deck, reminds me of the older Eclipse decks with the rubberized rotary knob, very cool.

Had this installed yesterday. The sound seems good as well as the features. The screen is a huge improvement over the 1200. BUT none of that matters to me right now. I have been unable to pair my Treo 700p. And after much frustration and calling Verizon/Palm I called Eclipse. The tech told me that Treo's DONT WORK!@@@@@@
The place that installed this talked to different tech's who said they thought they could come out with a fix but I am not hopeful to be honest. This is a major problem. They also told me that Iphones work but won't load the phonebook only hand's free work.
This is two of the major smartphones on the market and I don't know how you let a 300 unit with one of the key features being bluetooth out on the market. Who do they think is going to buy 300 head units but people with jobs and and in many cases smartphones!!!!
They did say the IPhone issue might be resolved with the latest software update next week
Wow, that's too bad to hear. I've got a Treo 700wx that I was planning on using with it... Other than that would you recommend it? I mostly care about the audio features of it. Does it come with the time alignment mic and/or ipod cable?
You need to have your own ipod cable. There is supposed to be some kind of mic that you can get extra for tuning the sound. You can check out exactly what on Crutchfield under their hands on review. However it seems they don't have that accessory in the accessory section.
I am ok with the sound so far. Radio and CD is great. But no 24 bit dac means ipod sound could be better as well as Aux version of Sirius I am using. My dealer has asked me if I want to take the radio out and I am seriously considering it. it would cost me 1-2 hundred to get another smartphone.
I will say i love the display. But there are a few nagging things on ipod use like it doesn't start back up where you left off. It goes back to main menu and you have to cycle back through your playlists to make a change or view anything. Other minor issues as well
How is the usb memory stick music browsing interface?
Don't use one
Sound is excellent, user friendly, display is excellent during the day and at night, plus the equalizing options on this puppy are a huge bonus. I do have to file my trim ring down for the headunit as the one they provided was a bit small, but other than that, no big deal.
Probably the best headunit to run if your not going active, but still want all the equalizing options of the 9887 plus the bluetooth and usb capablility!!!

Has anyone used the auto time alignment feature? Does it come with the tuning microphone for this purpose?
No it doesn't as far as I can see and I don't know how to get it. Does anyone know how to get it and use it?
