Help choosing an in-dash(kenwood, JVC, or Pioneer)

I have 3 that I'm looking at right now.

    1. Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD

    2. JVC KW-AVX710

    3. Kenwood DDX512

As you can tell I'm not worried about navigation. I also want whatever interacts with my ipod best. Does anybody have any experience with any of these?

I'm leaning towards the kenwood, but I've noticed not as many people seem to be running kenwood compared to a few years ago. Has the quality gone down?

Re: Help choosing an in-dash(kenwood, JVC, or Pioneer)

I'd rule JVC out, their units arent half of what they used to be.

I'm actually about to purchase a DDX512. It was sort of a tossup between the 4000, and the 512, but the 512 has background picture capability, and it is navigation ready, you can pick the navi units up for 200~ used if you ever wanted to add it.

The interface on the kenwood is pretty cool.

Re: Help choosing an in-dash(kenwood, JVC, or Pioneer)

This is kind of silly but one thing I like about the kenwood too is that it shows the album art off of the ipod. Plus the expandability of it puts it over the 4000 IMO.

Re: Help choosing an in-dash(kenwood, JVC, or Pioneer)

Well if I go by ebay prices the 512 is about $50 more, if I decide to buy authorized the 4000 is $500 and the 512 is $600

kenwood gets my vote only because i had ground problems with my pioneer. Buddy of mine is running kenwood and it seems nice.
