Alpine 9887 vs Eclipse CD5000

Ok I've been seeing people go nuts over the Alpine 9887 HU's on here and i was looking at the specs against the Eclipse CD5000. I was wondering if the alpines really were better than the eclipses since the CD 5000 has 8V outs and the Alpine only has 4V outs? and if so why?

You should look at more then just the preout voltage when looking at a hu

I would grab the 9887 though...Great all around unit..
